SignPlay by Auslearn
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 October 2026
Auslearn ("we", "us", or "our") makes SignPlay, a mobile app that hosts real-world Auslan games for groups (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information when you use the App.
In short: SignPlay does not collect any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
We handle privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. Information We Collect
None. The App does not ask for your name, email address, contact details, age or any other personal information, and it does not send information about you or how you use it to us or to anyone else.
The games are played in person. Nothing you sign, say or do while playing is recorded by the App.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
The App remembers a small number of settings on your device so it works as expected, such as whether you have already seen the welcome screens. This information stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is deleted when you uninstall the App.
3. Device Permissions
The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts or photos.
4. App Stores
You download the App from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple and Google may collect information about your download and device under their own privacy policies, and may share aggregated, non-identifying statistics with us, such as download counts. We do not receive information that identifies you.
5. Links to Auslearn
The App may link to the Auslearn app or to this website. Those services are covered by the Auslearn Privacy Policy, which also covers your visit to this website.
6. Children's Privacy
SignPlay is designed to be played by groups of all ages, including families and classrooms. Because the App collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
If the App's handling of information changes — for example, if we add anonymous usage statistics to learn which games are played — we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date before that change reaches the App.
8. Contact Us
